Upcycling Dredged Sediments for Beneficial Reuse
Beneficial Dredge utilizes DredgeCrete™, a specially developed cement slurry, which results in a more geotechnically and environmentally stable, homogeneous product for upland beneficial reuse.
includes cement, water, and a proprietary additive which increases lubricity and delays the cement’s rate of hydration, thus allowing the cement to fully incorporate into the dredge sediments during processing, creating a homogenous material thus maximizing the cement’s utilization prior to curing.
DredgeCrete™ is pumped from the proprietary slurry mixing plant to the end of the boom of our long-reach excavator, which incorporates the cement slurry directly into the dredged material in the hopper barge (in-barge processing).
After the DredgeCrete™ is mixed into the barge, the processed dredge material can be offloaded for Upland Beneficial Reuse as Structural Fill for development projects, Mine Reclamations, Landfill Cover, Side-Slopes, or final closure caps.
